I am a Licensed Therapist/ Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 25 years of experience working with adolescents, young adults, adults, couples and families in a variety of settings within the Orlando and Central Florida community. I have advanced training and experience treating a vast array of mental health concerns. I am certified in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) to assist with trauma and high level emotional challenges. My primary goal is to create a caring and collaborative environment for an individual's counseling experience and to assist clients to achieve personal growth and improvement.
I utilize Cognitive-Behavioral therapy, a strengths-based approach, and Client-Centered techniques. I also use creative methods such as metaphor, healing stories, art, music, and relaxation therapy throughout the therapeutic process. I am trained through different modalities focusing on relationships, life choices, and gender/sexual identity.
My extensive professional experience has included work in residential treatment programs, the Juvenile Justice System, foster care, middle & high schools, community mental health services and private practice. Various positions have included direct therapy, supervisor, and clinical director, as well as being an adjunct professor at UCF School of Social Work.
