About
You probably already know at least some of what you wish were different in your life. Often the things we wish were different we have wanted to change for months, years, or even decades. Counseling often has a balanced focus on helping you learn how to cope with present day symptoms while at times looking back to become free from old patterns of responding. Those old patterns that at one time may have been necessary in order to survive, now may be the very thing limiting your ability to thrive and realize your potential. Click on the "website" button to the left to read more about me, my approach, and my specialties.
It is the therapeutic relationship that is the largest factor in the counseling process that will fuel the change for which you have been hoping. Counseling is not about adding additional pressure or shame about what you “should have done”, but rather developing deeper understanding and compassion for how you became “stuck” and discover the paths to freedom.
I provide a safe and non-judgmental space where you and I can help you gain perspectives that are difficult to discover on your own. Looking for a counselor is progress and having a brief phone consultation is a next step in your journey of change. You and I can rather quickly gain a sense of if we would be a good fit during that conversation.
