Despite the challenges we face or the deficits we carry, we all have inherent strengths and gifts that we can use to become the version of ourselves we most want to be. You don’t have to feel trapped or stuck anymore. We are more than the total sum of our problems, and we can emerge from beneath our struggles. Success in psychotherapy is most influenced by the quality of the therapeutic rapport between the client and the therapist. I partner with my clients to create a safe and objective environment, free of judgment and truly just for them.
My therapeutic style is relational, humanistic, strengths-based, and framed in psychodynamic and empowerment theories. I meet each individual where they are, uncover their story, develop new curiosity, and honor their sacred, inner world. Rooted in empathy, respect, and positive regard, I hope to help you build a path toward healing and freedom.
I earned a BSW from the University of Houston and an MSW from Baylor University. Before working in private practice, I started my career in fellowship in residential substance use treatment and then shifted to work in an intensive outpatient program. I have treated individuals, couples and families and greatly enjoy facilitating groups.
