Joyce Lyn Fine, PhD, Psychologist in Denver
Much of my work focuses on helping clients understand what causes them trouble in various aspects of their lives so that they can create better personal/work relationships and better negotiate for themselves in all of their relationships. Anxiety and Depression are two "labels" that often bring people into my practice and then together we break down what those "conditions" stem from in their particular lives. I also work with couples and families, and I am a Certified Divorce Coach. Additionally I do premarital counseling and workshops, helping couples look at their priorities together, get to know each other better, and increase communication skills.
As a Divorce Coach, I companion people through the colossal process of deciding whether or not to divorce/how to healthily divorce. Divorce Coaching is different than psychotherapy as it is more focused on thought partnering (rather than insight into behavior), supporting clear decision-making/implementation, keeping in mind the best interests of all involved.
I am familiar with Orthodox Jewish life and can work with people from a variety of religions with an understanding of their commitment to their faith and how it impacts both the structure and internal, daily activities of their lives.
