Hello, my name is Joyce Davis and I am a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist in California with 8 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with coping with substance use addiction, depression, and anxiety. Additionally, I have worked with clients with co-occurring disorders, that have struggled with substance abuse and mental health issues. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts, feelings, and various topics can be shared without fear of judgment. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change.
I am here to support & empower you in that journey. Most of the common theoretical approaches that I utilize are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Dialectical behavioral therapy. Most of the clients that I work with are those with co-occurring disorders, particularly struggling with substance abuse and mental health-related issues.
Clients struggling with depression, PTSD, anxiety, and mainly adults. Calm and cheerful tone, where there is no judgment, allowing Clients to be able to express their thoughts and feelings in their own place. I work with the Client and their own pace and have been told that I can establish rapport with the Clients quickly.
