I love working with people that are ready to explore change. Everyone gets stuck from time to time. Coming to terms with loss and pain is never easy. Loss can come in the form of actual bereavement or in through accepting difficult events or even a difficult diagnosis, If you would like to try to address your reaction to trauma, loss, or even addictive relationships to substances and activities, I would love to work with you. I have comfort and familiarity in working with bipolar disorder, ADHD, PTSD and anxiety. I hope to work with people who are seeking their highest expression of selfhood and are willing to look inside.
I have many years of experience as a therapist and draw from many approaches. Mindfulness and motivational interviewing are some of my favorite modalities. I use DBT and CBT as well, and love existential therapy. I love using using expressive therapies such as art and writing.
I have deep respect for the strategies that you have employed to make things work. They represent your best effort to adjust to difficult circumstances. However, they may be part of what is keeping you stuck. How can you appreciate how they have supported you but learn new strategies? We will explore this together if you so choose.
