The teenage years are the most vulnerable, exciting, and growing years of a young person’s life. Self discovery can often yield low self esteem, independence can easily shift to rebellion, and a slow maturation process often creates impulsive decision making. And when a parent’s warnings and worries don’t seem to have an impact on the teenager’s course, or when it feels too heavy to carry alone, it’s helpful to have another guiding force to help. Through counseling, an adolescent can feel understood, begin to understand themselves, and learn to understand and accept their role in the family and society.
I have a particular interest in working with adolescent females and the process of helping them see and feel and advocate for their value in the world. I believe that a young woman with a strong sense of self will have the ability to live her happiest and truest life and can make a lasting impact on society at large.
I also love working with small children. A child's emotions carry an amazing and natural ability to change and heal with proper care and support. However, children don’t always have the vocabulary or the insight to articulate their emotions in the same way adults do. Play therapy is an amazing resource to support a child through expressing their feelings.

LGBTQ+ parent support group
A group to support parents of LGBTQ kids. Providing support and education on how to best parent, support, and advocate for their children who are exploring their sexuality and/or gender. We also aim to create a space to process the feelings that parents experience as their children learn and grow in who they are.

Adolescent processing and support group for LGBTQ+ clients or those questioning and exploring their gender and sexuality. We aim to create a safe, fun, welcoming environment for teens to come and discuss their fears, excitement, and the possibilities for their lives as they become closer to their full and authentic self.
