My "ideal" client is between 14 and 99 years old, motivated, able to engage in honest dialogue, and willing to step back and re-evaluate themselves and their lives with fresh eyes, through psychotherapy. They understand that my role is not to “solve” their problems; rather, it is to provide a fresh perspective and to assist them as they seek their own, unique answers that honor their hard-won life experience and inner wisdom. My approach is to encourage authenticity, sharing laughter, tears, frustrations, and gratitude frequently and openly. In over 30 years of clinical experience, there are few issues that I haven't encountered.
I'm a licensed psychologist, privileged to work with people pursuing meaningful change, navigating difficult situations, and seeking fulfillment. Although I've had specific training in the areas of trauma, addiction, etc., I see myself as a seasoned professional who works with people in need of fresh insights rather than as a technician fixing problems.
