I am a National Board Certified Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with 16 years of clinical experience in the mental health field. I have provided behavioral health care services across a spectrum of populations, within a variety of settings to include: a residential psychiatric rehabilitation treatment facility (PRTF), the Department of Corrections, the family court system, Drug and Young Adult Courts, military installations, schools, outpatient and community mental health, as well as private/group practice. I work with individuals; families; couples & groups affected by existential and a wide range of mental health issues.
I am a teaching counselor who draws from my background in Education, utilizing best practice counseling approaches that are evidence based, empirically and ethically sound. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Transactional Analysis, Solution Focused Brief Therapy Positive Psychology & more, often combing the former to improve therapeutic outcomes.
