When we are able to maintain stability, we trust ourselves and others. However it can be difficult to feel this, as we carry barriers that stand in the way. A lack of safety, overwhelm, and lasting effects of a painful past often leave us feeling misunderstood, fearful, unsure, and in pain. But it is possible to discover the reasons behind such feelings, and how past and present-day experiences are complicating life, causing confusion and pain, and holding us back. Together we will explore, gain understanding, and develop trust.
Specific areas of focus include interpersonal trauma and Complex PTSD, disappointment in relationships, questions around important decisions, relationships with pets and support animals, and relationship conflict. Together we will examine the complexities of the relationship you have with yourself and with others.
I offer a free phone consultation to see if we would be a good fit. If we determine we are not, I will provide referrals in the hope you will find another therapist who is.
