Marriage & Family Therapist, LCSW, LMFT
My approach to helping can be summed up in a few words: couple bubble and dance. My primary goal is to help you strengthen the bubble around your relationship so that no one or no thing can get between you (other family members, affair partners, etc.) I also try to help you see the "dance" or patterns you get stuck in. Your reaction to something is going to trigger a reaction in your partner which will then trigger a reaction in you, etc. The more you can see the dance that you do, the more you can change it to a better one.
I've been trained in many different kinds of couples therapy-EFT, Imago, PACT, AEDP. I try to help you be mindful of your experience in the relationship and then communicate that to your partner. If you understand each other better, you'll be able to reach out and build stronger bridges to each other.
Trained at Princeton University and the Ackerman Institute for the Family, I have been in practice for over 30 years. I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Just as importantly, I'm married for 42 years. My greatest passion is for the couples work that I do.
