My name is Josh Hager, LSW, and I am so glad you are here! I specialize in providing individual counseling for adolescents and adults navigating issues with depression, anxiety, identity, life transitions and relationships, and I proudly serve the LGBTQIA+/Queer community. I view the therapeutic relationship as a reparative social connection where the client is an expert in their own lived experience. Through each conversation, we will work together to create a space of safety where we can build on your strengths, learn from one another, and develop a connection that will facilitate lasting change.
I want each client that enters my office to be as comfortable as possible and to feel that they can truly be whatever version of themselves they are feeling as the session begins. I aim to create a laid-back atmosphere that feels safe so that when uncomfortable topics and emotions come into the space, they will be handled with curiosity and compassion.
