I have experience working with individuals, couples, and families; helping them to deal with life stressors and transitions. My work emphasizes crisis management through individual counseling, group therapy, and medication management. Specifically, my work includes working with individual with mental health diagnosis such as anxiety, depression or bi-polar. I have also served to counsel troubled marriages, substance use and abuse.
My approach is an individualized one, as I believe that each person is different and therefore, requires flexibility and a plan that is personalized to each client. I believe in the use of evidence base therapies such as CBT, DBT, MI, Stages of Change Model etc., as well as holistic approaches as instruments to influencing positive behavioral changes.
