About
As a therapist, it is my mission to help you live a joyful, vibrant life, even if you are facing life circumstances or mental health issues that are less than ideal. I specialize in helping individuals and couples, and have experience helping with compulsive sexual behavior, ADHD/ADD, depression, OCD, anxiety, and/or PTSD resulting from abusive situations. I also help couples who feel as though they no longer "connect" or who don't feel as close as they once felt. I believe you have the strength to reach your goals, and lead a joyful life.
Having ADHD in a world that favors able-minded folks is challenging and tends to lead to trauma, especially if it wasn't diagnosed in childhood. I specialize in helping people of all ages (but especially adults) with ADHD as they tap into their internal resources and giftedness to become successful at home, school or work. (I also work with partners!)
As a gay man, I am grateful for the chance to assist fellow LGBT clients. I also have extensive training and experience in cultural competency and diversity, and am credentialed as an Ethnic Minority Mental Health Specialist (EMMHS). I specialize in treating ethnic and sexual minorities from a systemic lens.

Josh Weed's Groups
Adult ADHD Trauma Processing Group
Living with ADHD causes immense trauma. This online group helps to unpack the wounds and harmful messages about self that occurred as you grew up in an ableist society. While our use the text (Nicole LePera's "How to Meet Yourself ") guides some of the processing. Each group member's process is individual and unique and will involve as much or as little outside "work" as feels comfortable. Here, showing up is a triumph that is celebrated in a supportive, warm, environment that nurtures growth, brings connection, and fosters understanding of self. This group will go for 3 months, new group starting in March 2023.
