Life is hard, no matter how you slice it. The birth process is traumatic for both mother and infant. Aging, sickness, and death are unavoidable parts of life. So are transitions, losses, and uncertainties. This is nobody's fault. It's not a punishment. This is "life on life's terms." None of us can manage the challenges of this life entirely on our own. We all need support, especially at times of loss and transition. If you, a family member, or loved one ages 14 and up are dealing with grief and loss, uncertainty, anxiety, depressive symptoms, processing trauma, or adapting to life changes, I'm here to help.
Since 2012, I've been providing confidential counseling services in a variety of settings, including at a non-profit hospice, a community counseling center, and a residential crisis stabilization unit. My approach to counseling is warm, active, and direct. I draw on my professional training as a licensed counselor, as well as my own experiences as a client.
