I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with 4 years of experience working as a unit therapist at one of Houston's busiest psychiatric hospitals, where I have assisted teens and adults in acute psychiatric distress. Originally from Australia, I immigrated to the United States in 1995 and have raised three daughters, navigating life transitions, grief, divorce, and depression along the way. I specialize in helping clients cope with suicidal ideation, trauma, depression, anxiety, life transition adjustment issues, geriatric mental health concerns, grief, and relationship issues.
I earned my Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Houston Baptist University. My approach is client-centered, meeting you where you are, and utilizing integrative treatment methods such as solution-focused brief therapy, humanistic therapy, existential therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT).
