Integrating various therapeutic techniques into a person-centered approach, I will partner with you to alleviate present symptoms and address immediate concerns. If you desire a longer term solution, I will help you explore and resolve underlying issues so that your symptoms are less likely to return. As a facilitator, I do not tell you what to do but help you develop insight and self-awareness so that you can make decisions that are best for you. You may choose to incorporate your religious, spiritual, or philosophical beliefs into your therapeutic work.
I can help you with anxiety, depression and other mood disorders, trauma, relationship issues, grief and loss, and life transitions. My experience includes working with college students, adults of all ages, and veterans. I have worked with a wide diversity of clients.
I have practiced in a wide range of venues including an intensive outpatient treatment program, a university counseling center, a rural community mental health clinic, Veteran Affairs (VA) outpatient clinics, private practice, and I have volunteered in an urban homeless shelter and an urban juvenile detention center.
