My practice focuses on couple and individual therapy and includes in equal proportion women and men. I work collaboratively with clients as they increase self awareness, explore relationships, and find solutions to the challenges they face. I encourage an attitude of curiosity and looking at problems from new perspectives.
All of us at some point in our lives will encounter an impasse that causes distress. Therapy is an inquiry into our experiences and perceptions that are the cause, and allows us to consider the implications of change in a confidential and safe environment.
I have trained psychiatry residents and psychology interns in couple and family therapy for many years at The Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth and have supervised new practitioners in individual psychotherapy. I also provide divorce mediation and conflict resolution services.
