I enjoy working with individuals struggling with various stressors or challenges in life, whether it is mental health or substance challenges. In our sessions, individuals experience a safe, supportive and non-judgmental relationship. I enjoy working with each person to develop self-awareness of their strengths, challenges so they can develop coping skills where necessary. With my counseling approach, I regularly utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
I am a veteran with 40 years of sobriety. I have a broad range of experience working with Individuals with TBI, D&A, SMPI, autism and IDD. I have also worked with Law Enforcement Officers and families. On a personal note, I am the parent of a son with autism. I understand from a personal journey the joys and challenges of raising a child on the spectrum.
