I'm Joe Leonard, a licensed marriage and family therapist. I take a systemic approach to therapy, looking at all the dimensions of life that may be affecting a client's mental health and functioning. My focus is on restoring mental health, social/occupational functioning, and healthy relationships.
As a therapist, I am warm, empathetic, understanding, and ethical. I believe all thoughts, feelings, and behavior serve a purpose. I help clients identify their purpose in a safe and confidential environment, and then help them find healthier, more constructive ways to accomplish that purpose.
We will work together to set realistic and relevant therapy goals very early on in our therapy together. That way, we can focus on what is most important to you (the client) and make the best use of our therapy time together. We'll assess progress on your goals frequently to make sure you are achieving them.
