Are you looking for a different way to respond to situations in your life? Although we know that "HOW" we respond is critical...we often feel we have little control over our response. We can lose sight of our better judgment, our strengths, and miss opportunities to either make the situation better or our response better. In our efforts to get rid of our problems or shoo them away, they are on our minds even more...making us feel overwhelmed and helpless. Considering or imagining other ways, of responding or looking at situations, is a matter of training the mind.
The focus I maintain in therapy is helping people get unstuck while simultaneously discovering a sense of possibilities and hope. Another priority is helping people free themselves of the anxiety/worry patterns that stifle their quality of life. My training is in two areas: Family Systems and Clinical Hypnosis.
Family Systems emphasizes improving relationships across family, marriage, work and school. Clinical Hypnosis involves changing habitual ways of viewing and experiencing life. In particular, learning self -hypnosis improves our abilities to maintain a calm alert focus. Enhancing this skill is of great benefit in all life situations.
