I provide individual counseling services to all persons over the age of 8. As a former teacher, I help children and teens navigate the world of academic institutions. I welcome adults dealing with, anxiety, depression, grief, divorce issues, and trauma from growing up in a dysfunctional/abusive home. In my practice we address various diagnoses including Autism Spectrum Disorder, OCD, Bipolar Disorder and PTSD. I strive to create a welcoming and non-judgmental atmosphere for all, including LGBTQ clients. Furthermore, I have experience with recovery from substance abuse, and welcome anyone in IOP or sober living situations.
I focus on helping people discover their authentic self and become more satisfied and successful in all areas of life. I provide a listening ear and guidance for those experiencing depression, anxiety, codependency, grief, and substance abuse. My techniques are solution-focused, person-centered, and informed by the concepts of DBT.
As a fellow traveler, I have made my share of mistakes and experienced loss and disappointment in my life. I use these detours as lessons that make me more empathetic and genuine. Such episodes only prove that I am human, special but not unique.. This is how I see each of my clients.
