Hello, my name is Joseph Abbott. Over the past 24 years the journey in my career in Social Work has led me down a path of supporting clients in becoming happier, and healthier; leading to living more fulfilling lives. When doing so, the most important aspects to achieving and attaining happiness and stable mental health are, promoting the well-being of clients, allowing self-determination, giving informed consent, being competent, being culturally aware, understanding and practicing social diversity, and maintaining client confidentiality.
During the past 24 years, I have had experience working in community mental health clinics, substance abuse clinics, and care management agencies. My experience includes working with diverse clientele, including children, teens, adults, and seniors. My therapeutic approach will depend on each clients specific needs and diagnoses.
