I am Jose Desiderio, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in New Jersey and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York, with over 5 years of experience in the mental health field. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, stress, anger management, interpersonal relationship issues, life transitions, and men's issues. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of helping adolescents, adults, and couples navigate their challenges in a safe, non-judgmental, and supportive space. I hold a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the College of Staten Island, and I take an integrative approach.
This means I tailor my approach to each client, drawing from a variety of therapeutic modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic theory, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), solution-focused techniques (SFT), and mindfulness exercises. My goal is to meet you where you are and help you address your concerns.
