My name is Jordyn Morales, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I have predominantly worked with adults who have experienced complex trauma but have generally worked with a broad range of clients. My main priority is to provide a safe space to appropriately process what is bringing clients to session. My main theoretical approaches consist of person-centered, trauma-informed, solution-focused, cognitive behavioral, and strengths-based. I often ask clients what is bringing them to sessions and then work with the client to establish mutually understood goals moving forward. Adjustments can be made throughout treatment.
I provide a space for my clients where they feel heard and the ultimate expert of their own life, outside of my credentials, and encouragement. It is important for the individuals I work with to feel as if they are collaborating with me in sessions to meet their goals in the most essential ways.
What attracted me to being a therapist is never feeling like the therapist I saw as a teenager fully understood how to help me. I wanted to understand why this was the case and also provide others the opportunity to feel heard in ways I did not.
