Welcome to my profile! I have been a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist for over a decade. During that time, I have enjoyed a wealth of different experiences and positions, including helping young adults at a drug, alcohol, and mental health clinic, serving as an Assistant Mental Health Director at one of the largest and most nationally respected group homes for adolescent boys and girls, and running a successful private practice where I mostly concentrate on assisting men and couples enduring anxiety, stress, depression, self-esteem difficulties, trauma, substance abuse, and relationship issues transform their relationships.
I typically work with adult men and couples ages 28-40 struggling with problems related to anxiety, stress management, self-esteem, substance and alcohol use/abuse, addiction, trauma, communication, infidelity, friendship, and difficult fighting patterns.
In the first session, I explore with the client their motivations/goals for their time in therapy. I help them translate these goals into SMART goals and interventions (which makes it easiest to work on and track progress). And, as sessions progress, I routinely check in with clients regarding their status on their goals.
