Welcome :) If you have made it here, you are already in the right place. Whether you are in therapy for the first time or looking for a "deeper" experience, this is the space for you. Trauma- of any kind, any size- roots within our nervous system. This means we feel its impact mentally, emotionally, and bodily. Your resilience represents all the ways you already bear the weight of reality with trauma. Therapy with me celebrates these protections, and also creates new protections that allow you to be more safely connected with your needs, emotions, body, and relationships.
Pain is amplified by aloneness, so I prioritize a relational approach. While life may be inconsistent and unpredictable, I promise to be non-abandoning, non-shaming, & curious. I approach all you bring to the table with a trauma-informed lens and use AEDP, EMDR, parts work and somatic practices to melt shame and disconnect that trauma has created.
No part of you is neglected. In the room, this looks like identifying your protections & their purpose, and working together to hear and attune to overwhelming emotions underneath the surface. Healing isn’t possible if our body feels in danger, so our work also involves learning how to regulate your nervous system with breath and other grounding techniques.
