In my work with clients, I’ve learned that symptoms are not evidence of something broken within you; they are strategies for survival, shaped by trauma, stress, identity development, and the realities of living in an oppressive society. Therapy with me will act as a space to honor what’s helped you survive while exploring whether these strategies are still serving you. I have experience working with people who use drugs or are impacted by substance use, as well as queer, trans, neurodivergent, and questioning folks.
I approach therapy collaboratively; as a relational and inherently political practice. I practice from a harm-reduction lens that prioritizes safety, autonomy, and respect, and I aim to offer a non-judgmental space where you don’t have to censor yourself. We will work at your pace and I always welcome feedback throughout the process.
I believe that much of the success of therapy is about the therapeutic relationship and finding the right fit can be daunting. As someone who is neurodiverse and in recovery, I bring relatable lived experiences that informs my work with humility and care. I always strive to show up authentically, so that you feel invited to do the same.
