I work with clients who feel disempowered to overcome the perspectives and patterns in life that don’t serve them; especially those that stem from “big” and “small” traumas that create distress and discomfort in our day-to-day lives. I use evidence and strengths-based modalities to help clients feel empowered to face these things, though I primarily work with clients who are interested in EMDR Therapy. You might feel disheartened thinking about how trauma changes the brain, but healing changes it too! It brings you back to self-worth, and to getting to know the real and regulated YOU!
I work predominately with adult clients who experience symptoms of trauma including those with PTSD and complex trauma (CPTSD). I additionally focus on helping people recover from other current distressing life experiences and mental health issues like anxiety, depression, and panic disorders; and from past issues like attachment problems.
I am committed to being an advocate for ALL clients and their identities- and to helping clients (re)process their perspectives to create a sense of their own safety and worth, to feel acceptance of themselves and all their parts, and to help them to face their futures with confidence and empowerment.
