I specialize in grief, divorce, abuse, adoption, military issues, PTSD, depression, anxiety, anger, personality disorders, and adjustments associated with life's negative experiences. I work with adults both in individual or couples' counseling. Iam trained in Acceptance Commitment Therapy and in trauma focus interventions.
Treatment focus begins with establishing a safe, therapeutic relationship for a client to be able to work on personal and family issues. A variety of skilled and trained concepts are utilized to include cognitive behavioral techniques, Acceptance and Commitment therapy, couples therapy, anger (communication and expression), dialectical behavior, and psycho-educational learning for abusive situations.
I have 18 years experience working with clients. I have a background with domestic violence, abuse work with adults and children, and specialized training in EMDR and trauma work.
