I possess a true passion for my work with clients, which is evident in my unwavering commitment to their success. I recognize how terrifying it can be to face deeply rooted issues, so I work hard to establish a safe therapeutic environment with attention to everything from the office experience to how fully present I am in each session. Real therapy and especially deep personal work is messy and requires vulnerability, trust, and hard work in order to create and maintain life long changes.
I'm not a quitter and won't give up on my clients when the therapy gets tough. I primarily approach my work from a psychodynamically based model, which includes an emphasis on how unconscious psychological processes may be related to current patterns of relating, feeling, and behaving.
I am an out-of-the box therapist who uses a variety of therapeutic techniques to facilitate the healing process, including deep inner child work, art therapy techniques, and role play. I additionally enjoy working with professional therapists who are interested in and committed to their own deep therapy work.
