Being human can be confusing, overwhelming and painful. Despite this predicament, I believe therapy can help shed the feeling of a constricted life and achieve an authentic and empowered sense of self. Through a collaborative and compassion-centered approach, I aim to help hold in a non-judgmental space the challenging parts of life and encourage next steps in your journey. The modalities I use most often are EMDR and trauma-informed mindfulness combined with concepts and methods from CBT, DBT and MI while applying lenses such as attachment, familial, cultural, generational and that of global systems.
I match those working with grief, anxiety, depression, life transitions, identity or relationships challenges, those who might identify with bipolar, ADHD or OCD tendencies, and those suffering from addiction or out-of-control behavior. I provide gender-affirming care and aim to support LGBTQ folx. I welcome conversation including sex, culture, politics.
When relevant to our work together, I keep in my mind a larger cultural and ecological context in which injustice and suffering exist. In my off-time, I enjoy spending time with my family. I live in West Chester and often walk or run the town or the surrounding nature. I play and work on music, belong to a sketch club and love the arts.
