Jonathan Pfeifer, MSW, LCSW-A is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate and Clinical Therapist at Advaita Integrated Medicine in Cary. Jonathan spent four years in the United States Coast Guard after graduating from UNCW with his Bachelors in Arts. Jonathan earned his Master’s degree from East Carolina University (ECU). Jonathan has worked with adolescents and adults using such modalities as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for anxiety and depression. Jonathan has worked with a diverse population. Jonathan has worked with children, teenagers, adults, and seniors.
While at ECU, Jonathan interned at both Mid-East Commission Areas Agency on Aging (CAAA) and Pride in North Carolina. During that time Jonathan implemented therapy sessions in a school-based setting and conducted comprehensive clinical assessments for new and existing clients.
Jonathan strives to help clients that are dealing with anxiety & depression, and he continues his education to learn new tools to help his clients. This includes incorporating more Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills & other therapeutic approaches. He works with clients to create a comfortable, nonjudgmental environment to offer guidance and resources.
