Sigmund Freud wrote that the goal of psychotherapy is simply to free you “to love and to work.” I work with people struggling to establish or improve important relationships, their work lives, or both. Difficulties in relationships and career development often create tremendous distress and frustration, but those feelings can also be an invitation to grow and change. Working with an attuned and thoughtful therapist can be invaluable in helping you understand your experience and grow from it, helping you to deepen your relationships with yourself, your family, and life.
My goal is to get to know you: how you think, feel, relate to others, and where you feel most stuck. Together, we will work to understand the patterns, emotions, and internal conflicts that keep repeating, so that something new can become possible. Each therapy is unique, and I draw from psychoanalytic, exisential, trauma, and somatic approaches as needed.
