Being a human being is an amazing, terrifying, and sometimes really confusing and painful experience. We all live through these things, some of us are more familiar with depression, anxiety, avoidance, or hyperfixation on trying to control everything so that you KNOW that it's all the way it should be. These are just a few of the symptoms of the human condition. When we can step back and look at them with a different set of tools we can build awareness of how we may be able to approach these feelings with a more useful perspective. This leads us to feeling more grounded and in control of our physical, mental, and spiritual goals.
Finding motivation and drive is part of how I best serve the people I am working with. When we can find what truly motivates you, both for the positive aspects and in the ways that are not in alignment with what you want for yourself, we can define the best way to move forwards. Whether its addiction, or some other malformed coping skill this solution works.
Being human is difficult, trying to do this on our own is probably not in anyones best interest. Humans want to be in intimate relationship with others, to be known, to be heard, and understood.
