But what if there is more to ourselves and the world than we believe? Like Dorothy pulling back the curtain and finding the real Oz, I had my first significant peek beyond my assumptions in 2018 after years of depth practice and meditation. I knew instantly none of the negative stories I feared about myself were true and that I was intrinsically whole and complete. I was filled with joy, and my life hasn’t been the same. Six years later my understanding of the mind’s potential to access deeper levels of consciousness and connection has grown with supervision and support. IFS is one known model that taps into this potential through the use of Self. I work more explicitly to help cultivate these healing capacities and insights that can be woven into our therapeutic work.
