I have a wide range of experience treating a variety of challenging mental health disorders such as mood disorders like depression, anxiety, social anxiety, panic disorder and bipolar disorder, psychotic disorders like schizophrenia and personality disorders such as borderline personality disorder and avoidant personality disorders. My clients can expect to be treated with kindness and respect and non-judgmentally. I strive to create an atmosphere of comfort and safety.
My theoretical background and experience are primarily in the areas of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I also offer trauma-focused support which guides the client toward healing and empowerment. When needed, I am certified in Co-Occurring Disorders which strives to treat both mental health and substance use disorders.
In my view, each client I work with contains an entire universe of valuable ideas, perspectives and feelings where I am the temporary guest and you are the valued host. I work mainly with adults and specialize in treating mood disorders, trauma and abuse history, sexual abuse and addictions, and with co-occurring substance use disorders. I am pro-LGBTQ.
