Social Anxiety Groups
Social Anxiety Groups are offered to children and teens from ages 7 to 17. When children are younger social anxiety may manifest in separation anxiety or excessive shyness. Preteens and teens are faced with the challenge of navigating this ever-changing social and social media world. Our Social Anxiety Groups are tailored to the specific needs of the group members. Group leaders provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere, while generating important conversation among group members and utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques to help group members break free of what can sometimes be a paralyzing condition.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy
In Dialectical Behavior Therapy groups, you’ll gain practical skills around Mindfulness, Interpersonal Effectiveness, Distress Tolerance, and Emotion Regulation. DBT is one of the most effective psychotherapies used today because of its comprehensive approach to treatment and integration of many concepts that can be useful for a wide range of clients and therapists.
