Many people find themselves repeating behaviors and relational patterns that they don’t fully understand, with family, friends, partners, colleagues or others. Therapeutic reflection builds the insight that illuminates underlying emotions, the processing of which is often necessary to truly address root causes. Our past often bears relevance to our present. At its best, therapy can not only offer coping skills and alleviate symptoms but also promote sustainable change.
Accordingly, the clinical approaches I employ are evidenced-based and are largely: psychodynamic, meaning-oriented, narratively-structured, trauma/neuroscience-informed, and mindfully-grounded – with openness to cultural and spiritual conversations.
I accompany late-adolescents, adults, older adults, and couples as they lean on their values, beliefs, and hopes to navigate complex emotional lives.
