Quick Distress Reduction Group
Especially effective for trauma-exposed medical teams, first responders (staff and volunteers), and military troops (active duty and veterans). This one-session, 90-minute group quickly reduces – by at least 50% - negative emotions from a distressing memory. You won’t talk about your distressing memory. I’ll lead you through an EMDR (Eye Movement, Desensitization, and Reprocessing) technique called “Flash Technique.” You will think about a positive activity while I direct you when to use bilateral stimulation (such as knee tapping and eye movements).
