Welcome. I am a licensed psychologist in private practice, providing counseling and psychotherapy for individuals, couples, and families. I have trained and worked in a variety of clinical settings, including community mental health centers, schools, inpatient hospital units, and college counseling centers. I have many years of experience providing supportive, professional care to persons struggling with a variety of issues, including, but not limited to: anxiety; depression; stress management; spiritual/religious concerns; sports/performance issues; loss/grief; relationship difficulties; and trauma.
In addition to a doctorate in clinical psychology, I also hold a master's degree in theological studies, with an emphasis on the integration of psychotherapy and spirituality. Many of my clients find this openness to spirituality within the therapeutic context to be helpful. I also have a specialty in sports and performance psychology.
Some of the ways that I offer help include: providing a supportive relationship in which change and growth can occur; helping clients to modify maladaptive patterns of thinking and acting; supporting clients in coping with losses of various kinds; teaching mindfulness techniques in order to enhance well-being; and helping athletes improve performance.
