About
Are you worried that depression is becoming a chronic problem? Are you interested in addressing your issues without medication or with the least amount of medication possible? Do you want to learn healthy thinking skills, to be in better control of your emotions, and to align your actions with your deepest values?
Mindfulness skills are simple to learn and helpful to use. Research has shown that up to 40% of those who apply mindfulness practices to manage the symptoms of depression have been able to successfully eliminate anti-depressant medication without relapsing for more than 5 years.
I have been offering groups for training mindfulness skills for 10+ years. This approach involves increasing awareness of the present moment, in a purposeful way, without judgment. I work with groups and individuals to develop these skills in a non-judgmental and supportive atmosphere. We can do this work together.

A Mindful Way to Emotional Wellbeing
This group will teach skills for dealing with depression by learning and applying the skills of mindfulness meditation. The 8 week group will introduce participants to these powerful techniques and build on proven strategies. You will be asked to participate in a weekly 2 hour group and to practice daily mindfulness exercises learned in the group. Research has shown that up to 40% of those who utilize mindfulness practices to manage the symptoms of depression have been able to successfully eliminate their anti-depressant medications without relapsing for more than five years. My next group starts September 5, 2018.
