I work with depression and mood swings, grief and loss, anxiety and worries, addictions, anger management, intimacy and sexual difficulties, and divorce adjustment. For couples, I help couples improve communication that enhances closeness, deepens understanding and reduces reactivity.
My approach is respectful and compassionate. I have doctoral level clinical training, research experience, several publications, and am adjunct faculty at Virginia Tech. Sessions include the keys of good expression and listening, family of origin is I use clinical strategies that have worked, along with clients' strengths and resources, to find solutions.
