Therapy is a good thing! It’s for everyone. It improves your overall health, can be preventative and works best before you fall apart. Much has been said in the last few years about our health care system being designed to treat conditions rather than prevent them. This is even more true when it comes to mental health and mental illness. Still, in 2025, an enormous stigma related to mental health and substance use disorders exists. Consequently, the majority of people who could use therapy as a preventative measure do not because of shame/guilt, embarrassment, or pressure to “just get yourself together”.
I specialize in substance use and process addictions (e.g., gambling, sex, porn), helping individuals and families navigate these challenges. I also address codependency, religious shame/guilt, PTSD/C-PTSD, sexual identity, anxiety, depression, and grief. Together, we work on finding or restoring meaning and purpose in life—a vital step in healing.

This 6-hour group is for those who are required to complete substance abuse/addiction education. The group will be limited to 10 participants. A certificate of completion will be given at the end of the day. It is the responsibility of each participant to make sure this group meets the guidelines of the individual, employer, or agency that is requiring it. You must pre-register for this group.
