Making meaning out of our suffering is among the most fundamental of human activities. The difficult seasons of our lives are challenging. Yet, they may also afford the potential opportunity for profound growth and transformation in all aspects of our lives: Relational, Emotional, Professional, and Spiritual. Still, this can be an isolating and painful experience, and we often feel stuck and overwhelmed while navigating the “Dark Woods.” A skillful guide who can come alongside for each step of the journey often helps to make the process less daunting—and sometimes even sacred.

I have experience in partnering with clients to disentangle emotional distress, relational difficulties, trauma, grief and loss, chronic diseases, identity exploration, aging, and mental patterns imprinted during childhood that play an outsized role—often unconsciously. In therapeutic relationships it feels safe to unpack these aspects of our inner lives.

I enjoy working with adult individuals from many different backgrounds, and am especially interested in the Spiritual dimensions of this work. Embodying a compassionate presence during the time that clients tell their stories and become more fully known is an honor I treasure. Beginning therapy takes real courage, but its fruits can be priceless.
