John S Shealy, PhD, Psychologist in Louisville
I offer Integral Psychotherapy, Life Coaching, MBSR and a variety of mindfulness training programs. I help my clients establish a comfortable seat of mindfulness from which to explore the deeper reality underlying their distressing symptoms - the chaotic mind, the restless body, the unfulfilled spirit, and the unconscious shadow and/or deep unresolved trauma. This comprehensive approach works especially well for those who are struggling with anxiety and depression, general life dissatisfaction and those feeling pulled by higher spiritual yearnings, motivated to reach their highest potential and/or are seeking to enhance their intimate relationships and overall quality of life.
My respectful and collaborative approach provides a safe and spacious container to discover, own, process and resolve damaging interpersonal and societal conditioning - the common roots of anxiety, depression, sense of meaninglessness and unhealthy lifestyle choices (e.g., over eating, a host of addictions, self-abuse and personal neglect).
I have over 25 years of clinical experience and am skilled in a broad array of psychological, developmental and spiritual models. I have 90-minute sessions and while I do not accept insurance, I offer evening and weekend hours. I am an LGBTQ ally. Learn more at: www.bemindful.org
