My clients are typically looking to resolve issues related to anxiety, stress, trauma, insomnia, depression, or relationship issues. Some clients also work on spiritual searching and exploring meaning in life. Sessions can focus on finding one’s purpose. Working with me often involves finding joy and humor again in life. Clients also learn practical skills they take with them, such as meditation and relaxation techniques, and ways of managing the mind’s scattered distractions and critical, negative thoughts. I can also teach physical meditative movements.
I am passionate about healing. I use approaches such as Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Prolonged Exposure, Acceptance and Commitment therapy, as well as approaches involving meditation, music (drumming & didgeridoo) and movement (such as tai chi). I work with individuals, couples, and adolescents.
