I invite you to say what you would never say in ordinary conversation. I specialize in anxiety, depression, and difficult to describe dissatisfaction. For adults, I offer psychotherapy, lacanian psychoanalysis, and differentiation-based couples therapy. Lacanian psychoanalysis aims for change that is not short-lived by addressing unconscious and conscious factors. Unlike traditional psychotherapy, which often seeks to alleviate symptoms but leaves the (unconscious) causes of symptoms unspoken, I invite you to speak about whatever comes to mind.

In couples therapy, we'll get to the heart of your relational issues which are most likely not what you think they are. I help you with the challenging work of growing to respect yourself in your relationship while staying connected to your partner.

Lacanian psychoanalytic

My orientation is psychoanalytic, so the major difference between psychotherapy and psychoanalysis is how often we meet. Psychotherapy is generally 1x a week, psychoanalysis 2 to 5x a week. For couples, I work from a differentiation-based model (crucible therapy) that emphasizes growing into being yourself WITH your partner as the primary way to solve relationship, communication and sexual issues.
