I understand the decision to seek help can be a daunting one as there are many kinds of treatments for different kinds of issues. In addition to my work as a general practitioner, I specialize in the treatment of substance use issues utilizing harm reduction psychotherapy. Harm reduction psychotherapy favors an integrative approach and incorporates psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral and motivational enhancement approaches that promote insight, positive change and empowerment.
We will work towards developing a set of realistic objectives, develop a plan towards positive change and minimization of harm. I will assist you to develop healthy alternatives to manage stress, minimize disruptive patterns and improve your sense of self. I look forward to speaking with you.
