Welcome back NYC. John P. Carnesecchi, LCSW, CEAP, and his team have reinvented emotional wellness by uniting a full spectrum of emotional, behavioral health, and organizational/career services under one roof. The power of one. A philosophy and service delivery approach built on a simple premise: it takes a person to help a person. It's the way John enables people, to prosper and thrive. He has a direct, solution-focused, evidenced-based, humanistic, and interpersonal approach. It is a method that is progressive and integrates various psychotherapy modalities.
John specializes in couples therapy, depression, anxiety, trauma, relationships and career coaching. Graduating from the top of his class, he earned his Masters in Clinical Social Work from New York University with a concentration in advanced clinical practice in mental health service delivery.
He practices psychotherapy using an integrative approach to include Psychodynamic, Imago Couples Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Rational-Emotive Therapy (REBT). It is a privilege to help a client achieve a personal/professional goal or overcome an emotional hurdle. It's all about moving forward!

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy identifies and changes negative thinking patterns and pushes for positive behavioral changes. DBT Group Therapy at Gateway to Solutions focuses on mindfulness; interpersonal effectiveness, stress tolerance, and emotional regulation. DBT treats Depression, Anxiety, Self-Harm, Personality Disorders, Binge-eating, PTSD, Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI), Mood Disorders, and Abuse survivors. Things You Should Know: Start date Tuesday, September 20, 2022, 16-week program, 1.5-hour per session, meets once a week IN PERSON at our downtown NYC office, Tuesdays 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM, $100 per session, Insurance reimbursable, contact us to schedule an intake.
